CMSA Covid-19 Policies

Fall 2022

All CMSA seminar and event participants must comply with all Harvard University Covid Safety Protocols.

Individuals not affiliated with Harvard and individuals traveling to Harvard must follow the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Travel Order, Massachusetts Travel Information, and Harvard Post-Travel Testing and Quarantine information. Antigen testing is highly encouraged for all visitors before their travel to Harvard.

Everyone should self-assess their health; they should not come onto campus if ill, exhibiting symptoms, having been exposed to COVID-19, or having tested positive for COVID-19.

Harvard faculty, staff, researchers, and students who test positive on an antigen test or PCR test for COVID-19 must report the positive result to HUHS through Crimson Clear.

Masking in Classrooms

With limited exceptions, face coverings are optional in all indoor and outdoor spaces on Harvard’s campus, and instructors in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences cannot require students to mask in the classroom. If a student or instructor feels the need to continue wearing a mask for their own protection, or the protection of someone close to them, they should do so. Everyone should continue to carry a mask when coming to campus in case it becomes necessary to wear one.
